  • Podcasts

    Podcasts are all the rage these days. Creating your own podcast can be an excellent way to position yourself as a thought leader in your field, to share your success stories with clients and investors and to raise brand awareness with potential customers, all while staying in control of the narrative.

    That said, too often I hear businesses saying they want a podcast because they feel the ought to have one rather than because it would be a valuable part of their strategy. I've worked across multiple branded podcasts, so I fully understand the amount of work and long-term investment they require to be successful. I'll be honest with you if I don't think a podcast is the best use of your resources right now.

    If a podcast is a good fit for your company, I can offer end-to-end services. I'll work with you to clarify the purpose and goals and help you decide on a format. I'll produce the show, researching and booking guests, interviewing and hosting, scripting and editing. And I can create clips, trailers, cards, social media and blog posts to share with your audience.

  • Videos

    Videos are a great way to showcase the people at the heart of your business. Having a video that tells the story of your company can demonstrate to investors, potential employees and customers who you are and what you stand for better than any other medium.

    There's no two ways about it; videos are expensive to make, much more so than audio. But I've worked with clients to produce lower budget alternatives, using remote filming techniques that still have the same narrative impact. And I can help you repurpose your video so you get the most bang for your buck.

    I'll work closely with you to figure out the story you want to tell and how best to tell it on camera. I'll run the pre-production and provide training for speaking on camera where needed. I'll manage the filming days, interviewing your speakers to get the best out of them and making sure everyone understands the narrative they're telling. I work with a small team of trusted videographers, editors and animators to help bring your vision to life. And I can create edits and posts to share online.

  • Training

    I've been interviewing scientists and working with brands to tell their science stories for over a decade. I've created a range of training courses to share that expertise, including media and interview training for scientists, storytelling skills for start-ups, and podcast/video production fundamentals.

    I deliver communications training remotely and in-person (UK only) and courses can be tailored to suit your individual needs.

  • Strategy

    Before you make any digital content, you need to know why you're making it. I have a deep understanding of the online video, social media and podcasting landscape, what works and what doesn't work. I offer consulting and strategy services, helping you pin down your goals, your message and what kind of content best suits your needs.

    And you can trust that I'm not going to try to convince you to hire me to make a podcast or video you don't need - nobody likes working on a project without a purpose. I also have a network of freelancers and agencies that specialise in newsletters, PR, social media and events, so if I'm not the best person to help you, hopefully I'll be able to connect you with someone who is.
