Podcasts and Radio
I really love telling science stories through audio. I started off in audio as a producer and co-presenter for The Naked Scientists, a weekly science news show that went out on BBC 5 Live, ABC Radio National and as its own podcast. It was also a live radio show for BBC Radio Cambridgeshire, so during the tail-end of the Covid-19 pandemic I was on my own in the studio interviewing scientists and pressing all the buttons!
I then joined science media agency First Create The Media as Head of Audio and Video, working on podcasts and social media for biosciences companies. I produced and co-presented Genetics Unzipped, the flagship podcast for the Genetics Society, mixing audio essays and interview-based episodes. I was responsible for series 3 of Hormones: The Inside Story for the Society for Endocrinology, producing and presenting a limited series of highly produced interviews busting health myths.
I am available for hire as a podcast presenter and producer, and offer media interview training and strategy advice for science companies thinking about creating their own branded podcasts.
